Virgin Atlantic

I recently flew across to Vancouver with Sir Richard Branson on his new inaugural Virgin flight path from London Heathrow to Vancouver. It was a celebratory weekend spent in Whistler and Vancouver taking part in many activities in this wonderful area of the world. I hadn?t been back to Vancouver since winning gold over two years ago so was really excited to be there again. It was an emotional experience going back to slide center and I felt the emotions come flooding back to me. There was a lunch laid on up at the track and I was able to do a Q&A session with all the journalists and media, talking about my Olympic experience. It was a crazy weekend, I had a spa in the middle of the woods of whistler, with the black bears hiding in the trees, I went up Gross Mountain and watched people take part in yoga at the top whilst listening to a gospel choir! There was then a helicopter ride back down into Vancouver to get ready for a cocktail reception with Richard and a big party in the Commodore club in the City. A weekend to remember that?s for sure!

So today has been back to reality as I sieve through the foot-high pile of paperwork that has been steadily increasing in size on my table at home, I have already drunk many cups of tea and now need to go and cut a slice of Victoria sponge cake left over from the Jubilee street party!
